Yellow Stars

It's finally beginning to feel like Fall, and the front yard is covered with leaves from the liquid amber tree ~ it looks like hundreds of yellow stars. The glowing orange and burning red leaves on the neighbors' japanese maples are so breathtaking too. I love this time of year. The sky is blue again after the first rain and the air is so crisp. I love taking walks and hearing the leaves crunch underfoot, and the smell of burning wood in fireplaces. Fall is so refreshing after a long hot summer. I'm so glad it's finally here.
